Colne is next week joining forces with other Housing Associations to raise awareness of the need for affordable homes in the run up to the General Election.
David Orr, of the NHF, said: "The focus on Brexit should not overshadow the fact that we are still in the grip of a housing crisis. Fixing it should remain a top priority for any Government. The sector is ready to step up and build the homes we need, offer support to get people out of hospital and back into their homes sooner and guarantee more stability for families who are renting privately."
Colne is committed to playing its part in solving Essex’s housing shortage by providing homes at affordable rents or for shared ownership, to enable people to live independently.
We aim to build 700 new homes for local people over the next five years.
