Residents have say on proposed Colne merger

Wed 26 February 2020

Resident consultation on the proposed merger of Colne Housing and Braintree based Greenfields Community Housing has begun.

Residents of both organisations are encouraged to take part in a way which suits them – and their feedback will be reported to Board decision makers.

Should the merger go ahead, a new organisation will be created leading a five-year £500m investment in more affordable homes, services and opportunities to empower residents and their communities.

The joint consultation started on February 10 and will end on March 22 2020. Throughout April, residents’ views will be fed back to the Boards of Colne and Greenfields who will use this insight to inform the final decision.

There are face to face consultation events, online surveys, workshops and conversations taking place on social media.

Please refer to our customer consultation booklet to find out more.

If the merger is approved by the Boards, the new Community Gateway Association will be formed in July 2020. – with a new name and brand.

If you would like to help shape the brand – please take part in this survey https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/CG-CT01
