Offering a home

Colne is here to offer homes during the housing application process. Once an offer of a home is accepted, our specialist team are here to guide residents through the sign-up process and ensure that the transition to a new home is as smooth as possible.

The majority of our homes are let to people who are nominated by their local council or who bid via Choice Based Lettings for vacancies. If you are looking to bid for a property via Choice Based Lettings, there are different routes to this depending on the area where you want to find a home.

Changing your home/tenancy

If you are an existing Colne resident and your home no longer suits your needs and you wish to move, we are here to help you apply to transfer to another Colne home, regarding that you meet the transfer criteria.

Alternatively, we can help you exchange or swap your home with another Colne Housing resident or resident of another housing association or council through a Mutual Exchange. This process is also subject to a specific criteria.
