The CAM Project

The Community in Mile End (CAM) project was set up in June 2006 in partnership with the Housing Corporation, Colchester Borough Council, Estuary Housing Association, Suffolk Heritage Housing Association and Places for People.

CAM employs one Community Development Officer whose job is to engage with, support and encourage communities to get involved in the extensive regeneration work taking place in the Mile End area of Colchester.

CAM has helped achieve some great things for the new community at Mile End, including an arts and music workshop for the local children, a community garden and security funding for a new play area and youth worker.
