ICT Manager 9 Month Maternity Cover

Location: Colne Head Office, Colchester

ICT Manager  

9 Months Maternity Cover, Full Time

£38,000 p.a. dependant on skills and experience

Colne Housing are looking for an experienced ICT Manager for a 9 month contract covering Maternity Leave, with potential to be extended. We are ambitious about our ICT Service and are looking for someone who shares that passion.


Your key tasks will be:

  • Work in a collaborative way with other senior staff to develop the ICT vision and to implement  priorities and actions for the team and for others
  • Work in collaborative way with other staff to regularly and methodically review the effectiveness, viability and VfM of systems and business processes in delivering the operational objectives for the Colne Housing vision
  • Schedule, control and manage the delivery of ICT provision, support and hardware, in a timely, cost effective and efficient way, balancing the use of in-house and external resources appropriately
  • Manage third-party relationships and associated service level agreements in ensuring their optimum delivery and quality of service meets the expectations of the business in support of the Colne operational objectives
  • Ensure ICT developments and all new software/hardware is fit for purpose and delivers the intended benefits
  • Support the ICT systems and procedures that promote data and information security and business continuity in line with best practice and relevant external standards
  • Champion the Colne Project Management Framework taking responsibility to support, train and mentor colleagues with successful deployment of projects
  • Utilise the Colne Project Management methodology in the management of delegated Projects or in support of projects as a member of the Project Team


We would like to hear from you if you have:

  • “A” Level / HNC or equivalent qualifications 
  • A professional ICT or general management qualification
  • Project Management Delivery experience and qualification
  • Experience of delivering projects to improve service to customers and value for money
  • A record of success in a project management environment
  • A proven track record in using and delivering project management methodologies and successful projects
