Anti-social Behaviour

Give respect Get respect

Colne Housing Society takes a positive stance in tackling anti-social behaviour. The Government's Respect Agenda has set out how the Police, Local Councils and Housing Associations should work together, both to stamp out problems and support victims, but also to provide support and alternatives for the perpetrators. The details of how landlords like Colne should carry out this work are set out in the Respect Standard for Housing Management. Colne has signed up to the Standardrespect logo and will be looking to improve its performance using the partnership approach endorsed by the Respect Agenda.

You are responsible for your behaviour at all times in your home and your neighbourhood. You are responsible for your family, the people living in your home and anyone visiting your home. You are breaking your tenancy conditions if you create a nuisance to your neighbours, or other people living in the neighbourhood.

If you experience problems with your neighbours, you should talk to them about it before contacting us. Often they may not be aware that they are causing a nuisance. If problems continue, please contact us on 01206 244700 or at housing@colnehousing.co.uk .

You can also consult a solicitor.

If you believe criminal activities are being carried out, you should also contact the police.
