The Eastern Procurement Ltd (EP) was established in 2008 by a group of eight housing associations based in East Anglia, working together to jointly procure their major works programme. It has expanded rapidly and now has local authority members and is incorporated as a limited company, wholly owned by its members. EP now has a turnover of nearly £20 million per annum, bringing significant savings for its member organisations.
To date, Colne has used the EP framework agreement for the delivery of its boiler, kitchen, bathroom, and window and door replacement programmes, as well as lift servicing and maintenance. Annual cost savings for Colne are savings are approximately £200K.
