Colne Housing expands its business services in Finance and Payroll

Colchester-based Colne Housing Society is set to be among the first housing associations in the country to expand into a new range of private sector business services which will include finance and payroll support.
Building on its reputation for excellence in affordable homes, Colne Housing - which owns and manages more than 1,900 properties across north Essex - is launching a new range of business services under the branding Colne Solutions.
Colne Solutions is set to build upon its own experience and expertise in the finance and payroll sector by offering its services to other housing associations, charities and companies who may be looking to outsource their finance and payroll work.
Richard Jones, Colne Housing’s New Business and Commercial Manager, says that Colne Housing has outstanding experience and expertise in these services.
He explained that because Colne Housing is using the latest programme technologies, there is now spare capacity in Colne Housing’s own in-house payroll system which the y will be making available to other organisations to take up.
Says Richard: “We are fortunate to have a very experience and established team working in our payroll department.
“They have at lest 60 years experience between them and we are delighted to be able to offer their services to other organisations which may wish to take up our experience in this sector.”
In addition to the payroll services, Colne Solutions now includes a range of other business services; these include private sector leasing services, letting services, and property leasehold management.
All profits generated through this new portfolio of business schemes will be ploughed back into providing even more affordable homes in north Essex.
