Rural Housing

Some of our housing stock is designated to provide affordable housing for local people in small villages. Preference is given to people with a local connection to the village or parish. These sites include the following:

Bradfield

Eight purpose built one and two bedroom flats and two bungalows, reserved for the elderly.

Dedham, Ardleigh and Langham

We have small developments in each of these villages consisting mainly of family houses.

Gestingthorpe

We have a small development of four houses in the area. .

Great Cornard

Development currently consisting of eight purpose built one and two bedroom flats and thirteen purpose built two and three bedroom houses.  Further phases due for completion in late 2009 / mid 2010.

Great Horkesley

A selection of sixteen purpose built two, three and four bedroom houses.

Layer-de-la-Haye

The Society has six flats comprising of one and two bedrooms for people aged 50 years and over.

St Osyth

A selection of two and three bedroom houses and two wheelchair accessible bungalows, each with three bedrooms for local people.

West Mersea

Development comprising of 6 purpose built 2 bedroom flats and 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom houses..
