Joined the Society as Chief Executive in 1996 with over 20 years experience in the housing sector. Previously 'founding' Development Director of Peddars Way Housing Association, a major LSVT, and prior to that worked in senior housing management, technical and development roles with a number of RSLs and local authorities. Mark is a Law graduate from Durham University and Fellow of Chartered Institute of Housing.
Joined the Society in December 2002 as Finance Director with over 20 years experience in finance. Responsibilities include finance, human resources administration and ICT. Lynne has enjoyed a wide variety of roles in both manufacturing and service industries. Member of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants since 1988 and Fellow since 1993.
Joined the Society in December 1998. Has worked within the social sector since 1987, in a variety of roles for a London Borough and most recently Colchester Borough Council. Martin obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Housing Studies from Bristol University in 1992.
Joined the Society in May 2007 from a large estate agency group, where he was a Senior Manager. Responsible for overseeing the Society's plans to implement and operate a commercial division, Colne Solutions, to offer the Society's expertise to other housing associations, developers, businesses and charities. Services include property management, residential lettings, private sector leasing and payroll and financial support services
Society Chairman since September 2007. He has been a member of Colne's Board since 1996 and was Vice Chairman from 2004-2007. He previously worked in Human Resources in a senior role in the energy and water industries. Bill was previously Leader of Colchester Council and a non Executive Director of North Essex Mental Health Trust and has strong connections with affordable housing in the area. He is also currently a Board Member of Iceni Homes and an Associate Mental Health Manager.
Became Vice Chairman on 19th September 2007. She has been a member of Colne's board since July 2004 and is a Solicitor for Birkett Long Solicitors in Colchester. Justina is Chair of Operations committee and sits on both Personnel and Audit committees.
Joined the Society's board in January 2006. A Company Director, Member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers, Member of Service Monitoring Group, Mental Health Act Manager and Chair of Governors at Market Field School. Michael has a particular interest in the welfare of people with learning disabilities and mental health problems due to personal circumstances. Mike chairs Audit and sits on Finance & General Purposes committee.
Joined the board on 27th September 2006. Andrew is Senior Partner in Fenn Wright Estate Agents and Surveyors. Andrew sits on Operations committee.
Joined the board on 23rd September 2009. Jeff had a career based on the maritime and property sectors. For a total of 15 years he worked at board level as a Chief Executive; ten years in property and five years running the third busiest harbour in the UK - Harwich Haven. He is currently Vice Chairman of the Environment Agency's Anglian (Eastern) Regional Flood Defence Committee. Jeff is also a member of the General Committee of the Seaman's Hospital Society. Jeff will serve on the Finance and General Purposes committee.
Joined the board on 23rd September 2009, as a resident board member. Pamela was chosen from a group of residents interviewed in April 2009 by board members, the Chief Executive and Resident Involvement Officer. Pamela will serve on the Operations and Personnel committees.
Rejoined the board on 23rd September 2009 after taking a two year break. Jean is the board's champion and expert on Supported Housing issues and works for the West Essex PCT as a Project Manager (Learning Disabilities). Jean serves on Operations committee.
Joined the board on 23rd September 2009. Kevin has a background in audits and is a qualified accountant. He is currently employed by Kent Blaxill & Co Ltd as the Company's Finance Director and Company Secretary. Kevin serves on Finance and General Purposes committee.
Has been a member of Colne's board since 2004 and lives on the Greenstead estate in Colchester. Carole was previously employed as a Personal Assistant, and has also been a shop proprietor, but is now retired. Carole sits on Operations committee.
Joined the board in 2004 as a co-opted member from Tendring District Council and in 2007 was elected as a full board member. John sits on Audit and Operations committees.
Carol is self employed as a Business Consultant working with companies to develop their businesses and operational processes. Carol is Chair of The Coggeshall Friends of Cancer Research UK and the group organises fund raising events within the local community. Carol sits on Operations and Audit committees.
