Chair of the board

£6,500 per annum (approximately four days a month)

Colne Housing is a leading provider of affordable housing in north Essex. With 2,500 homes in management we are a growing organisation, aiming to provide excellent services to our residents and make a positive difference in the communities we serve.

Our current chairman is stepping down in September having completed his five year term of office, and we are looking to appoint a dynamic and committed leader who will work with board members and the senior team to develop and deliver our strategic objectives.

You will have a real interest in the local community, combined with a successful track record of leadership, business acumen, an ambassadorial approach and the ability to promote excellent governance.

Closing date for applications will be midday on Monday 5th March 2012. Interviews will be held on Friday 16th March 2012.

Volunteering

We are currently recruiting volunteers to work with older people in Manningtree. We run a lunch club three times a week for older people from the area providing healthy meals and helping reduce social isolation.
