Colne Housing Society's waiting list is open to those who are over 55 and retired from their main job of employment, and who are looking for Sheltered accommodation.
Colne Housing Society no longer holds a waiting list for people who do not meet the above criteria. Should you be looking for housing in the Colchester area you will need to apply via Colchester Borough Council who now operate a Choice Based Lettings scheme called 'HomeChoice'. This means that applicants have the ability to 'bid' for suitable properties when they become available. If you are looking for housing you may wish to consider applying to the local authority in the area that you want to live. These councils nominate people to us for our vacant homes. This would either be Maldon District Council, Chelmsford Borough Council or Tendring District Council. Their contact details are:
