Tim Young

Tim Young

Chair

Tim has been Chair since September 2012. He has long been a champion of affordable housing, and was previously Chair of an arms length management organisation. Amongst his many roles, he is a local councillor, portfolio holder for Community Safety, Licensing and Culture, a non executive director of Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and member of the Essex Police and Crime panel. Tim sits on the Appointments and Remuneration Committee and is our Board Champion for governance and public relations.

Carol Wilkinson

Carol Wilkinson

Vice Chair

Carol is a self-employed Business Consultant, applying experience gained as a senior manager within corporate organisations engaged in engineering and manufacturing. She was Chair of Coggeshall Friends of Cancer Research UK, fundraising for the worthwhile cause. Carol sits on the Appointments and Remuneration Committee and is our Board Champion for development, ICT and efficiency / value for money. Carol also represents Colne on the Iceni Homes' board.

Michael Andrews

Michael Andrews

Michael joined the board in 2006. He is a retired Company Director, Member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers, Member of Service Monitoring Group, Mental Health Act Manager and Chair of Governors at Market Field School.

Michael has a particular interest in the welfare of people with learning disabilities and mental health problems. Michael sits on the Audit Committee and is our Board Champion for finance and treasury management.

Stephen Beresky

Stephen Beresky

Stephen joined the board in 2013. He began his career in engineering before switching to corporate commerce, specialising in change management, latterly as a senior executive in the Banking and Financial Services sector. Stephen has served several healthcare organisations and has a number of voluntary roles. He is Chair of Colchester Institute's Career Academy. Stephen chairs our Audit Committee and is our Board Champion for business development and health and safety.

Alan Collard

Alan Collard

Alan joined the board in 2014. He comes from a banking and finance background, having worked most recently as Managing Director of JP Morgan Clark and Head of the Institutional Banking Group, Europe, Middle East and Asia. He is now a self-employed consultant, parish councillor and treasurer of a community benefit company. Alan sits on the Audit Committee and is our Board Champion for finance and treasury management.

Andrew Crayston

Andrew Crayston

Andrew joined the board in 2006.

He is Senior Partner in Fenn Wright Estate Agents and Surveyors.

Andrews sits on the Audit Committee and is our Board Champion for asset management, maintenance and sustainability.

Julie Hoy

Julie Hoy

Julie joined the board in 2013. A Partner at Fisher Jones Greenwood, she qualified as a commercial property solicitor in 2005 and deals with residential and commercial freehold and leasehold transactions. Julie has particular expertise in property development and construction agreements. She has acted for registered social landlords dealing with their site acquisition and development agreements, shared ownership schemes and section 106 agreements. Julie sits on the Audit Committee and is our Board Champion for welfare reform and community development.

Alison Inman

Alison Inman

Alison Inman is a prominent member of the affordable housing community. She is a governing board member for the CiH, the professional body for housing.

She is also the Vice Chair of TPAS, the national tenant empowerment organisation, and was previously Chair of Colchester Borough Homes. She is also a magistrate and school governor. Alison sits on the Appointments and Remuneration Committee and is our Board Champion for housing management.
