Meet the Non Executive Team
Tim has been Chair since September 2012. He has long been a champion of affordable housing, and was previously chair of an arms length management organisation. Amongst his many roles, he is a local councilor, portfolio holder for planning, co-opted member of the East of Engalnd Committee of the National Housing Federation and a non-executive director of Southend University NHS Foundation Trust. Tim sits on the Appointments and Remuneration committee.
Carol is self employed as a Business Consultant working with companies to develop their businesses and operational processes. Carol is Chair of The Coggeshall Friends of Cancer Research UK and the group organises fund raising events within the local community. Carol sits on the Appointments and Remuneration committee.
Michael joined the board in 2006. He is a retired Company Director, Member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers, Member of Service Monitoring Group, Mental Health Act Manager and Chair of Governors at Market Field School. Michael has a particular interest in the welfare of people with learning disabilities and mental health problems. Michael sits on the Audit committee as Chair.
Stephen joined the board in 2013. He is a graduate in civil and structural engineering. He began his career in engineering before switching to corporate commerce where he specialised in change management latterly as a senior executive in the Banking and Financial Services Sector. Stephen has served several Healthcare organisations including Non Executive Director of NEE Primary Care Trust, Chair of the Performance Advisory Group for Essex, and a former member the National Institute for Healthcare Organisational Development and Delivery Research. He now runs an Executive Development consultancy, and is Chairman of the Careers Academy at Colchester Institute in addition to various voluntary roles with local organisations. Stephen sits on the Audit committee.
Andrew joined the board in 2006. He is Senior Partner in Fenn Wright Estate Agents and Surveyors. Andrews sits on the Audit committee.
Julie joined the board in 2013. Julie, who is Partner at Fisher Jones Greenwood, qualified as a commercial property solicitor in 2005 and she deals with a wide range of residential and commercial freehold and leasehold transactions. Julie has particular expertise in property development and construction agreements, including golden brick, options, conditional contracts and overage arrangements. She also extensive experience in acting for registered social landlords dealing with their site acquisition and development agreements, shared ownership schemes and section 106 agreement negotiations. Julie sits on the Audit commitee.
Amanda joined the board in 2013, and hopes to provide a link between Colne and its residents. As a community centred individual, Amanda has been a Colne neighbourhood representative for a number of years and is well aware of the pressures that many residents are finding themselves under. Amanda sits on the Appointments and Remuneration committee.
John joined the board in 2004 as a co-opted member from Tendring District Council and in 2007 was elected as a full board member. John uses his experience from his time as Chair of the Operations Committee to aid the Board in making operational decisions.
Debra joined the board in 2013, with the view to develop a greater understanding of how Colne operates. Debra has the interests of residents at her core and wants to make a difference, and sits on the Colne Community Builders grant funding team to help sustainable projects get off the ground.
